Yes, You Can Share Me

This website exists to be seen.

I have deliberately chosen to publish my photographs, writing, videos, artwork, and other material publicly and under my real name. I’m comfortable with people discovering my work, talking about it, linking to it, and—where permitted—sharing it with others.

That openness is intentional.

But public does not mean public domain.

Unless otherwise stated, the original content on this website remains my intellectual property. This page explains what I’m comfortable with you sharing, what I ask you to preserve when you share it, and what requires my permission.

What You’re Welcome to Share

Unless a particular page or piece of content says otherwise, you are welcome to:

  • Share links to pages on this website.

  • Share my publicly designated photographs or promotional images for noncommercial purposes.

  • Share my posts and other public content through social media.

  • Quote reasonable portions of my writing when discussing or referencing my work.

  • Tell other people about the site.

  • Share material for commentary, discussion, review, or other lawful purposes.

  • Take screenshots and share online with proper attribution.

If something has a Share button or is specifically identified as shareable, please feel free to use it.

I created this site because I want my work to reach people. You don't need to ask permission simply to tell somebody I exist.

Keep My Name Attached

When you share my content, I ask that you keep my name attached to it whenever reasonably possible.

Please preserve any visible:

Shaun McMurtrie

The Exposed Bator

watermark, credit, caption, copyright notice, or link to this website.

One of the purposes of this project is to connect what I create—and what I choose to reveal—to my actual identity. Removing that attribution defeats part of the reason I'm sharing it in the first place.

If you found something here, I'd rather people know where it came from.

About My Nude and Adult Images

Yes, this policy also applies to my nude and adult material.

The fact that an image contains nudity or sexually explicit content does not automatically change its copyright status.

Where I have specifically made an image available for public sharing, I am comfortable with adults sharing it in appropriate adult contexts, subject to the conditions on this page.

Please do not assume that every photograph, video, or other piece of adult content appearing on this website has been released for unrestricted redistribution. Look for any sharing information accompanying the particular material.

Please Don't Pretend to Be Me

Sharing my work is one thing. Impersonating me is another.

You may not use my name, photographs, videos, branding, or other content to create an account, profile, website, advertisement, or other communication that falsely represents itself as being operated or authorized by me.

You also may not falsely suggest that I endorse a person, business, product, organization, political cause, or service.

If it's your account, make it clear that it's your account—not mine.

Don't Misrepresent the Content

Please don't deliberately alter my material in a way that falsely changes its meaning or represents something as my statement, opinion, activity, or creation when it isn't.

That includes fabricated quotations, materially deceptive edits, or manipulated media presented as authentic.

Commentary, parody, criticism, transformative works, and other uses may have protections under applicable law. Nothing on this page is intended to restrict rights that the law independently provides.

AI and Synthetic Media

My photographs, videos, voice, name, likeness, and other personal content may not be used to create deceptive AI-generated or synthetic material that is presented as authentic material created by me or depicting something I actually did.

In particular, permission to share an original image does not constitute permission to create synthetic sexual imagery, fake endorsements, cloned accounts, or other material falsely presented as authentic.

If you want to use my material in an AI, artistic, research, or experimental project, contact me first when permission is required or when you're unsure.

Commercial Use

Permission to share something socially does not automatically include permission to make money from it.

Please contact me before using my photographs, writing, videos, name, likeness, branding, or other original material for advertising, merchandise, commercial publications, paid products, commercial websites, or other commercial purposes unless I have expressly authorized that use.

I'm open to conversations about licensing, publication, collaborations, and creative projects. That's what the Contact page is for.

My Writing

You are welcome to quote brief portions of my articles and writing when discussing, reviewing, or referring to them, with appropriate attribution.

Please link to the original article when practical.

Do not republish an entire article or substantial portion of one as though it were your own publication without permission, except where applicable law independently permits the use.

If you'd like to republish one of my pieces, ask. I may very well say yes.

Content That Isn't Mine

Some pages may contain material created by or featuring other people.

My willingness to have my own material shared does not give me—or you—the authority to grant rights belonging to somebody else.

Third-party photographs, artwork, writing, trademarks, music, video, or other material remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.

Copyright & Content Concerns

If you believe that material appearing on this website infringes your copyright, violates your rights, has been used without appropriate authorization, or has been incorrectly attributed, please contact me through the Contact page.

Please identify the material in question, provide the URL where it appears, and explain the nature of your concern. For copyright-related complaints, please provide enough information for me to identify the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed and the material you are reporting.

I will review legitimate concerns in good faith and, where appropriate, may remove, disable, correct, properly attribute, or otherwise address the material in question.

If you believe something on this site violates your rights but are unsure whether it constitutes copyright infringement, you're still welcome to contact me. I'd rather receive a legitimate question than have someone assume there is no way to raise a concern.

This section does not limit any rights or remedies available under applicable law.

Want to Use Something in a Different Way?

Ask me.

I'm deliberately more open to sharing than many website owners, and there are uses I may be perfectly happy to authorize even when they aren't automatically covered by this policy.

For permission involving publication, commercial use, media, photography, research, creative projects, collaborations, or other unusual uses, contact me through the Contact page.

Tell me what you'd like to use, where you'd like to use it, and what you intend to do with it.

The Short Version

Share me. Credit me. Link back when you can. Don't pretend to be me. Don't deliberately misrepresent me. Don't assume sharing permission equals commercial permission. And when you're not sure—ask.

I'm putting myself out there because I want to be seen.

I just want what people see to remain connected to the person who actually put it there.
