THIS PAGE EXPLAINS THE IDEAS AND BELIEFS ABOUT HOW I CHOOSE TO LIVE

Below, I’ve broken my philosophy into several sections, each looking at a different part of how I think about nudity, sexuality, honesty, self-expression, and living openly. You can jump directly to any section using the links below, but I recommend reading them in order.

Each section builds on the one before it, and taken together, they provide a fuller picture of why I live the way I do—and why I’m willing to be so open about it.

LIVING WITHOUT A DIVIDE

I believe there is a particular kind of freedom that comes from being willing to live honestly.

Not perfectly. Not without embarrassment, contradiction, vulnerability, or consequences.

Just honestly.

For much of my life, I understood that different parts of ourselves were supposed to stay in different rooms. There was the professional self. The intellectual self. The private self. The sexual self. The person other people could comfortably know, and the person they probably weren't supposed to see.

I've come to question that division.

I don't believe being educated, thoughtful, creative, professional, sexual, vulnerable, playful, or comfortable being naked are contradictory qualities. They are simply different parts of the same human being.

And that human being is me.

NUDITY IS PART OF THE STORY

This website is unapologetically built around nudity, but nudity isn't the entire point.

My body is simply one of the most visible things I have chosen to stop hiding.

Being naked can be intimate. It can be artistic. It can be funny. It can be vulnerable. It can be erotic. Sometimes it can simply be ordinary. A naked body doesn't have to carry one meaning, and neither does mine.

What matters to me is choice.

I choose to be seen.

Not because I believe everyone needs to see me. Not because I believe nudity is inherently better than clothing. And certainly not because I think everyone should make the same choices I have made.

I do it because hiding parts of myself solely because they might make someone else uncomfortable no longer feels authentic to me.

For me, nudity isn't a rebellion against clothing. It isn't a demand for attention. It isn't proof of anything.

Nudity is, however, a physical manifestation of not wanting to hide anymore. And that freedom allows my mind to also be free..

NO DIVIDED SELF

There is a particular freedom in no longer dividing yourself into acceptable and unacceptable pieces.

When the person I am privately and the person I present publicly become more closely aligned, there is less to hide, less to explain, and less shame to carry.

That doesn't mean every part of my life belongs to everyone. Privacy still matters. Boundaries still matter. Consent matters enormously.

But there is a difference between choosing privacy and living in shame.

I want to make that distinction very clear.

Being fully exposed is not about revealing everything to everyone. It is about no longer believing that parts of yourself must automatically be hidden simply because they might make someone else uncomfortable.

There are things I choose to keep private. There are things I choose to share selectively. And there are things—like my body—that I have deliberately chosen to put out in the open.

The important thing is that the choice is mine.

The person you encounter on this website is not a character I've invented.

He is the same person who has spent years learning, teaching, working, creating, thinking, questioning, laughing, struggling, changing, and figuring out what kind of life feels honest.

He is also a man with a body.

A sexual body. A naked body. A body that has changed with age and will continue to change. Those facts don't cancel out everything else about me. They exist alongside it.

I don't need to choose between being taken seriously and being comfortable being naked.

I don't have to choose between intellect and sexuality. Between professionalism and vulnerability. Between dignity and eroticism.

I am not required to become less of myself in order to make myself easier for someone else to understand.

That may be one of the most important ideas behind this entire website.

THE WHOLE PERSON

AUTHENTICITY HAS CONSQUENCES

I'm not naïve about this.

Living openly can have consequences.

People make assumptions. People judge. People misunderstand. Opportunities can change. Some people will disagree with what I'm doing entirely.

That's real.

But I've also learned that there are consequences to hiding.

There is a cost to constantly editing yourself for an imagined audience. A cost to wondering which version of yourself is acceptable in which room. A cost to carrying around the knowledge that you're performing a version of your life rather than actually living it.

Eventually, I had to decide which cost I was more willing to pay.

I chose honesty.

The truth isn't risky—or it shouldn't be.

That doesn't mean consequences don't exist. They do.

It means I don't believe truth should automatically be treated as something shameful simply because it is uncomfortable, unconventional, or revealing.

My choices are my own. They don't obligate anyone else.

I don't expect everyone to understand them, approve of them, or make the same choices. I don't expect everyone to be comfortable with nudity. I don't expect everyone to share my views about sexuality, vulnerability, privacy, or self-expression.

And that's okay.

What I ask in return is the same freedom for myself: the ability to decide how I live and what I share without assuming that everyone else has to participate.

This isn't a manifesto demanding that you live the way I do.

You don't have to be a nudist. You don't have to be comfortable naked. You don't have to share my views about sexuality. You don't even have to understand why I would choose to put so much of myself into public view.

But I hope you can understand the principle underneath it:

People deserve the freedom to decide which parts of themselves they are willing to show—and to make those choices without shame.

For me, that choice includes nudity.

It includes sexuality.

It includes vulnerability.

It includes the willingness to let other people see things that most people would keep private.

And it includes the right to say:

This Is Me. Fully Exposed.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO AGREE WITH ME

WHAT BEING FULLY EXPOSED MEANS

Ultimately, this website is an experiment in what happens when I stop trying to make myself smaller, safer, tidier, or more acceptable for other people's expectations.

It is a record of a life—not a carefully sanitized version of one.

Some of it is intellectual. Some is creative. Some is personal. Some is naked. Some is sexual. Some is funny. Some is uncomfortable. Some of it may challenge you.

That's okay.

Life is complicated. People are complicated. I certainly am.

And I would rather be complicated and honest than simple and false.

This isn't an invitation to believe that I have nothing left to hide.

It's an invitation to understand why I've decided that I don't need to hide nearly as much as I once thought I did.

That, to me, is what being fully exposed really means.

So, you have made it to the end of my philosophy and you are thinking to yourself, "I want to be exposed just like that guy." Before you take the leap, I would strongly encourage you to check out this page:
